36 Young St W - farmhouse built in 1849. In 1940 it became the home and office of Dr Voelker. The door to the Right was access to his office.
50 Albert Street - The Snyder/Seagram House. Still has some of the original stained glass.
This beautiful house at 47 Albert fascinates us. I t was built in 1924. 100 yrs old this year!
We mill around in the driveway as Joan knocks on the door!!
Cathy is gracious enough to take all 19 of us on a tour of the gardens and the back of the house!
The owner Cathy Marsland worked with Joan at city hall when Joan was Mayor!
Fish downspouts!
The property once extended to Silver Lake but the back part was expropriated when Bridgeport Street was extended to Erb
The gardens are spectacular
The sunroom was a replacement of a dilapidated porch BUT the architectural detail is a perfect match maintaining the Historic Character.
Joan thanks Cathy for all of us. Maybe we will all get an invite to the Centennial Party sure to happen before the end of the year!
